A technical diagnosis. That is exactly what the analysis is for.

If you do not know something, leave it blank. A half-filled form beats no form — we will call you for the rest. Filling it in takes about two minutes and you get a case number straight away.

How it works

Two phases, with your decision in between

You are committed to nothing until you have seen and approved the quotation.

The analysis

No later than the working day after arrival in the lab we look at what is wrong and whether recovery seems feasible. If so, you receive a no-obligation quotation with a fixed price and the likelihood of success.

The recovery

After your written approval we schedule the work. You choose the turnaround time, between 24 hours and two weeks, which partly determines the price stated in the quotation. If against expectation it does not work, there are no costs apart from any return shipping.

No data, no invoice

After the analysis

You are under no obligation

If the recovery does not go ahead — because it is technically impossible, or because you decide against it — you choose what happens to the drive.

Free Collect it yourself You pick up the drive at our lab in Ypres, or at a collection point near you.

Free Have it destroyed We destroy the data irreversibly and you receive a certificate with type and serial number.

20 euro Have it returned By courier, excluding VAT. That is the only cost you can incur when the recovery does not go ahead.

Good to know

The arrangements

When you pay Only at the end, after you have approved the list of recovered files. We return the data once payment has come in.

In case of partial recovery We then charge part of the quoted amount. How that is calculated is stated on the quotation itself, so you know beforehand.

One exception If the analysis shows the work will be particularly risky and that we need to order special parts, we ask in the quotation for your agreement to pay for those parts in advance, regardless of the outcome. You are free to decline.

Your manufacturer warranty usually stays valid Most manufacturers accept a certificate from Datarecuperatie, so that opening the drive does not void your warranty. Do check with your manufacturer to be sure; we supply the certificate.
