A smartphone or tablet holds your contacts, photos, messages, e-mails and calendar. If the device is damaged, or you deleted something by accident, we can usually still recover the data.

You want to transfer your photos and the card turns out empty. It happens more often than you think, and the photos can usually still be recovered. Even a broken card is not lost, as long as the memory chip is intact.

If a USB stick is no longer recognised, we recover the data in most cases. Where needed, we work directly on the memory chip.

Tapes, CDs and DVDs

Still have old tapes, CDs, DVDs, JAZ or ZIP disks with important data? We read them and move everything to a current medium, so nothing gets lost.

Very large volumes

For volumes of hundreds of terabytes, such as ZFS pools and large NAS and SAN systems, we use our own software that splits the recovery into three processes: finding the building blocks of the file system, linking them together, and consolidating the files on the target storage.

Is your backup on a failed NAS or RAID, or is the backup file itself damaged? We first recover the storage and then repair the backup files, even if they are damaged.

Forensic investigation

Together with you we determine what needs to be investigated, who is involved and over what period. During the investigation we use a hardware write blocker, so not a single bit of the device changes. Questions we can answer include:

• Who had access to the information, and which data was copied?
• Which e-mails were exchanged or deleted?
• Which data was deleted, when, and by whom?
• Were tools used to wipe traces?
• Did anyone from outside the organisation gain access?

Password recovery

Forgotten the password of a hard drive, a file or a document (such as Word or Excel)? In many cases we can remove the protection, so you can get to your data again.

Secure data erasure

Want a device wiped securely and completely? Afterwards you receive a certificate of destruction, so you can show third parties, for example during a GDPR or ISO audit, that the data is permanently gone.
