What to pay attention to with logical recoveries by an "IT specialist"

So if you decide not to go with a professional recovery company, but try an "IT professional" first, ask them the following:

Work do they use the original disk (wrong) or a clone of it (good)?

Do they verify whether the data is readable after recovery? If yes, great, if not, bad!

Do they write the data back to the original disk? If no, fine, if yes, wrong!

These are important points that distinguish between a professional recovery and an amateur, and can make the difference between a successful recovery and a catastrophe!
